Autism Network Scotland Employment Network
Autism Network Scotland facilitates the Autism and Employment Network which aims to provide a forum for sharing information and good practice, highlight common challenges and promote the benefits autistic people can bring to the workplace.
The Employment Network meets quarterly in Glasgow and is currently chaired by Richard Ibbotson (Director, Richmond Fellowship Scotland) and includes representatives from National Autistic Society, Scottish Autism, IntoWork, IWORK4ME, Speaking Literally, Values Into Action Scotland, Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Union of Supported Employment, College Development Network, Glasgow and Edinburgh One Stop Shops and others.

Over the last few years the Employment Network has:
- Developed contact with a growing number of organisations involved in autism and employability, including projects that have been funded through the Scottish Government’s Autism Development Fund.
- Identified the key themes which affect autistic people in employment and fed this back to the Scottish Government
- Led on the response to the Scottish Government’s Autism Strategy where it relates to employability
- Run an annual event to provide a forum for sharing good practice and hear the success stories of autistic people in employment.
- Produced information specifically for employers on autism and employment
Further activities and events are planned for the future and will be promoted through this website.
