Perth Autism Support hiring Autism Community Facilitators

Categories: News

Our friends at Perth Autism Support are currently hiring two Autism Community Facilitators.

Working within their Ease the Move project, the post holders will be working in partnership with Perth & Kinross Council to deliver a transition service for young people with autism aged 16-25 years old who do not fit traditional service support and who perhaps require an alternative support mechanism when moving from children to adult services.

The postholders, based in Blairgowrie will lead, co-ordinate and develop an innovative day service for up to 12 young people in line with the Principles of Good Transition guidance which is completely autism specific in nature, highly structured and person centred. Developing individual plans, and being mindful of all the issues that may need to be addressed with the young people, the post holders will develop an engaging and positive service which will support the skills development of the young people to move on to a postive destination either in education, independent living, employment or other more mainstream services.
