Health and Social Care Integration

Categories: Resources

The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) formed in 2006 to amplify the voices of people who use health and social care services by bringing them, and their representative organisations, together to contribute collectively to Scottish public policy and services.

The need for integrated health and social care has been a key issue since the inception of the ALLIANCE and continues to be cited as one of the main barrriers to people being able to enjoy their right to good health and independent living.

This short paper seeks to contribute to a vision of a different landscape of health and social care. It forms part of the ALLIANCE’s ongoing work on integration, and public service reform moe widely.
