PASDA (Parents of Autistic Spectrum Disorder Adults) is an independent charity that supports unpaid family carers of adults with autism spectrum conditions across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
They aim to support carers to have their own and their family member’s rights recognised in order for both to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. This includes promoting equal access to services for adults with autism and their carers. They aim to build a resourceful network of family carers over the next three years through our PASDA Interactive project which is funded by the Big Lottery Fund. They are looking for a Senior Manager who can provide leadership and stability in order to enable them to achieve their objectives. Big Lottery Funding will allow them to employ a staff team of five for a three year period.
The Senior Manager will work with the PASDA Management Committee to ensure the vision and mission of PASDA is implemented in a sustainable way to meet the needs of ASD adult carers in Lothian.
They require someone with experience to develop and operate at a strategic level, build relationships and networks with Government, statutory and voluntary sectors. This includes the ability to deliver on current and future priorities and income generation strategies. The role requires a strong advocate and communicator who possesses the diplomatic and influencing skills to be effective.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme through Disclosure Scotland. The cost of registration (less the disclosure fee) to be paid by the applicant. The post holder will be employed by Autism Initiatives on behalf of PASDA.
