FOR 19-year-old Austin Sheridan this isn’t just his first council election standing as a candidate, it’s also the first he’ll be able to vote in.
The youngest SNP candidate, Austin has set out his stall as being the voice for youth in this election.
Standing in the Baillieston ward, he believes that young people need to be better represented in elected office and favours lowering the voting age to 16.
Austin has Asperger syndrome, a form of autism, and believes that in some ways the condition has been a blessing.
